Strange Cargo

Strange Cargo was established in Folkestone in 1995. Initially focusing on celebratory outdoor arts projects and carnival, Strange Cargo has subsequently developed a significant reputation for its portfolio of imaginative public and visual arts projects, special celebratory events and programmes with large groups of people. Consistently the company has committed to “produce, develop, support and deliver high-quality participatory arts”.

Strange Cargo draws on a versatile pool of talented and committed freelance artists and administrative personnel to deliver its programme of work. Working in collaboration with communities, participants and funding partners Strange Cargo has delivered some extraordinary and distinctive projects over recent years.
