Following their sold out Cabinet of Dr Cagliari show; which saw them improvising a live music score to this silent cinematic masterpiece, Partial Facsimile return to Fabrica, Brighton to perform their new work Media OS 5.1
In association with Strangelove Festival and Fabrica Gallery Partial Facsimile MEDIA OS 5.1 is a multi–‐media performance in 5.1 surround sound. It discusses the overconsumption of digital information and its entertaining, yet beguiling effects on human behaviour. It also addresses the consequences that an oppressive society has upon the modern day worker.
This immersive audio visual performance encompasses 7 Musicians – Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Piano, Synthesizers, Drums, Cello and digital sequencing. The band will perform behind a film projection net so that the visual focus in on the moving imagery and the spatial sound.
10 Integrated Films have been specifically developed for the individual songs, and informed by their lyrical content. Each one of the films is unique but collectively they tell a story.
The audience will be fully immersed inside a 5.1 surround sound system and encouraged to interact with the production.
